INTENSIVE BREAKDOWN:

Become fluent in Shakespearean language with this active, hands-on study of Much Ado About Nothing. Read the entire play aloud and break down the language and poetry. On the last day of class, we will film each participant performing a monologue from the play.

CLASS SCHEDULE:

  • Week 1: Quick History of Shakespeare and his plays. Breaking down verse (poetry), Iambic Pentameter & an in depth script analysis of Act One.

  • Week 2: Reading aloud & in depth script analysis of Act Two.

  • Week 3: Reading aloud & in depth script analysis of Act Three.

  • Week 4: Reading aloud & in depth script analysis of Act Four.

  • Week 5: Filming a chosen monologue in prose or verse.

WORKSHOP BREAKDOWN:

This event will combine the art of ceramics with an engaging conversation about the entertainment industry. Participants will have the opportunity to create their own ceramic piece while discussing trends, stories, and insights from the entertainment world. Whether crafting a cup or a handmade vase, each participant will leave with a one-of-a-kind, personalized piece. The event will last between 2.5 to 3 hours. During the ceramics creation process, Alyssa will facilitate a light-hearted yet insightful discussion about the entertainment industry.

POTTERY DETAILS:

  • All materials will be provided by the studio

  • You can choose between creating a handmade cup or vase.

  • All materials including clay, tools, & firing fees are included.

  • You will be able to select a glaze of their choice for their ceramic piece.

  • The pieces will need approximately 4 weeks for drying and two firings.

  • After the session, you will be notified when your finished pieces are ready for pickup.

BUSINESS OF ACTING DETAILS:

  • You will leave not only with a unique, handcrafted ceramic piece but also with a deeper appreciation for both the creative process in ceramics and the entertainment industry.

  • The event will serve as a perfect combination of hands-on artistic expression and casual, enjoyable conversation.
