Do Actors Need To Audit?

Audits are designed to give potential students a firsthand experience of our teaching environment and offerings

Classes held in-person • UP TO 10 students PER class

Perform Every Week • Class Material from Currently Casting Film/TV

ON-CAMERA FILM/TV

Tuesdays 6PM

  • You get the sides before you walk in. The material is film and TV sides from projects currently casting, and it goes out the Friday before class so you have the weekend with it.

  • Week 1: you audition, on camera. You work the script audition style and you are filmed doing it. You get a copy of your footage after that class.

  • Week 2: the callback. You perform the scene at the studio in the format of a Zoom callback, run by our New York instructor.

SPOTLIGHT SESSION

Tuesday September 15th 6PM

  • All Spotlight Sessions require a $25 seat deposit. It reserves your specific slot in the room.

  • Post us on your socials, get your $ back. Attend in person, post an Instagram Story, Facebook Story, or TikTok tagging @HollywoodCastingStudio with #spotlightsession and keep it up 24 hours. Your $25 gets refunded

  • Cancel more than 24 hours ahead for a full refund. Inside 24 hours, or a no show, and the deposit is kept. Approved refunds land 3 to 5 business days after we confirm you attended and posted.

SCENE STUDY

Sunday 12PM

  • Week 1: read the play. Selina assigns the play and the class reads it together, then breaks it down. The scene, the play as a whole, and all the details inside it.

  • Week 2: run a scene. You are assigned a two person section of the play and run it. Everybody reads all the characters, so nobody owns a role yet.

  • Week 3: your character. You are assigned one specific character and work that scene in class.

  • Weeks 4 through 6: off book. You perform the scene off book.

STEP 1

Get A Studio Tour

Upon arrival, you will be greeted by a member of our Audit Team. The HCS Audit Team member will provide a brief tour of our studio, offering insight into the facilities, the various class options, pricing, and services available at HCS.

STEP 2

Observe or Participate

Observe class or choose to participate by performing the class scene. The scene, which will have been sent via email with your RSVP confirmation a few days prior, will be worked on with the instructor leading the class. If you prefer, you may opt not to perform and simply observe.

STEP 3

Meet With The Audit Team

After observing and potentially performing, you will have a final meeting with the Audit Team member to discuss enrollment options, answer any questions, and explore the next steps to join HCS.
